Welcome to the Hopkins Chinese Immersion Program and congratulations on making an amazing education decision for your child! We’d like to introduce ourselves – Bei Dou Xing is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Hopkins Chinese Immersion Program. Bei Dou Xing membership consists of parent of students attending XinXing Academy, and will extend into secondary school as the program matures.

In addition to providing support for the Hopkins Chinese immersion program, BeiDouXing provides a network of communication and mutual support among immersion parents. All parents and guardians are encouraged to actively participate in BeiDouXing. We need the help of each family to make our schools and programs strong.

Fundraising
BeiDouXing organizes fundraising events to support our mission. Funds raised at all events are allocated to either the general fund or the cultural fund. The general fund is used to support the day-to-day needs of Chinese Immersion such as teacher classroom grants, music supplies, Chinese focused field trip support, and BeiDouXing operating expenses. The cultural fund is dedicated to providing students with an 8th Grade cultural experience. While the experience is not yet defined, the members of BeiDouXing feel it is important to have funds to support an opportunity for our students to be immersed in the culture and language they are studying. Fluency doesn’t develop through classroom instruction alone.
